Be one of the first families to try MARBLS.

Your child plays for 30 minutes and works on challenges for a month. You join two online interviews to tell us how it went.

After you apply

We review applications as they arrive and email every family with a decision. If we invite you to take part, your place is confirmed after payment.

Who can apply

  • A family with a child aged 8 to 12. This round’s challenge sheets are made for elementary school children.
  • Your child’s own Google account — if they don’t have one, you can make one with Google Family Link.
  • A supported computer and a controller at home.
  • A parent or guardian who can join two 30-minute online interviews, in Japanese or English.

How the open alpha test works

The play session and two interviews take about 90 minutes in total. Your child works on the challenge for one month.

Play at home

Your child plays for 30 minutes. Their results are ready in the portal when the game ends.

Only families selected to take part pay this one-time fee. It covers one play session, the report, the challenge sheet, and both online interviews. The second play session three months later is not included in this round.
